I was recently thinking about how I would go about making an extra $1000 per month from scratch. If I didn't own any current investments or websites – what would I do? So i've put together what I think are the easiest, most reliable ways to make an extra $1000 per month. Now although all of these methods can net $1k, its probably going to be easiest to work on more than one.
Start a Blog
Just like this one…. ok maybe not exactly like this one, as it doesn't make money for me, but I do own two blogs which generate over $1k per month (combined). I do this through posting content on a daily basis and selling advertising in the form of sponsored posts. Blogging is still a great way to earn extra income in 2016 and with so much information about starting a blog and making money on them, it's easy for most people to get started.
I would recommend starting a blog in a niche that you're super passionate about. It'll make it easier to create content. A blog won't make you money overnight so you're going to need to keep posting to it for months.
If you don't want to start your own website, then why not create content for other people's sites. Freelance writing is easy to get started in. Simply browse any one of the countless freelance job sites and respond to requests. There are a lot of people looking for freelance writers. You may need to start by earning not very much, but once you've built your reputation you'll be able to charge more for your writing. Obviously this method requires solid English skills and may not be for everyone.
Swagbucks or other Survey Sites
I think it's going to be pretty difficult to make $1k per month just with surveys. It's definitely possible to make $100 a month (I do!). You could join lots of different survey sites to maximise revenue. You could also work at inviting or referring other people to these sites. Survey sites will pay you a commission for finding new members to join. This will increase your earning potential and will let you earn even when you're not completing surveys.
Do you have some web skills? I used to make money by setting up blogs like this one for other people. I would charge around $100-$200. With just a few clients you'll be able to make $1k. Don't underestimate your technical skills. Just because you might find it easy to setup a wordpress blog, other people will find it nearly impossible and will be willing to pay you to get it done.
So there are just a few of what I believe are many, many ways to make an extra $1k. Remember, the fastest way to make a million dollars is by increasing your income and your income streams.
