I do 90% of my trading on etoro these days, and they don’t offer an MT4 platform. I love the webtrader, but there are people who still like the “oldschool” software and want to use something like MT4. If you don’t know what MT4 is then I wouldn’t bother learning about it – just use something like plus500 or etoro that offers something more modern. But if you do want to use it, then here the two brokers I recommend:
XM offers MT4 for PC, MAC and a WebTrader, so no matter what you use you’re going to be covered. While many other brokers are focusing on expanding the number of investment products they offer, XM is still hardcore forex focused and offers some of the best spreads out there.
As a broker they’ve been around for ages and have earned a solid reputation. You can try them out with a free virtual account to see if they’re for you, or just jump in with a free $30 no deposit bonus which is nice. When people ask me what the best forex broker is, I usually point them to XM as it’s never let me down.

EasyMarkets (used to be easyforex) offers more than Forex but they still offer MT4 for trading. So if you’re looking to trade in much more than forex, then this is the platform for you. I love the fact that they offer a huge range of stocks including the Australia top 200.
EasyMarkets are really looking to innovate and push the broker game forwards. For example, their new “risk free” trading option allows you to optionally add Deal Cancellation to your trade, so you can cancel a losing trade without losing any money! Sounds pretty awesome to me.
